Free-Shipping Threshold
CalculatorsFrom what order value can you offer free shipping without eating your profit?
What does it mean?
Free shipping is e-commerce's strongest cart motivator — but set the threshold wrong and it becomes the fastest way to lose. The rule: the order must cover its own shipping out of its margin (shipping cost ÷ margin), and the smart threshold sits slightly above your average cart to push customers to add one more item.
Suggested threshold
150 SAR
Order covers its shipping from
50 SAR
Rule of thumb: threshold = the higher of “shipping coverage” and “1.25× average cart” — so the threshold actually lifts cart size.
ResultSet free shipping from 150 SAR — your margin already covers shipping from 50 SAR, so this threshold pushes customers to grow their cart instead of giving shipping away for free.
