Own Delivery vs Apps?

Calculators

At how many orders a day does your own driver beat the app's commission?

Commission is a variable cost that grows with every order; a driver is a fixed cost. Past a certain order volume your own driver becomes cheaper. Use your real commission from The Real Delivery Bill.

What does this number mean?

App commission is a variable cost that grows with every order; your own driver is a fixed cost. Below a certain volume the app is cheaper, and past a break-even point your own driver wins — and each extra order widens the gap in its favor. The formula is simple: fixed cost ÷ commission per order. A driver also gives you an edge: your customers' direct data instead of it staying locked in the app.
